Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for being the pioneer of research into child witnesses as well as eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman has published widely she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with various international and national distinctions. She has worked with many authorities and organisations around the globe on policy and research pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She works as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is an active member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the America Psychological Association's Developmental Division as well as Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
